The Cape Fear Kick Down is a bike show & swap meet in Wilmington, NC, featuring vintage, custom, and modern retro motorcycles. The event is the first of its kind in the Wilmington area, and one of the largest in the state. In 2016, the inaugural CFKD drew hundreds of motorcycles and spectators and raised $2000 for men's health charities. This year, the event will be September 15-16 at Satellite Bar & Lounge in downtown Wilmington. The proceeds of the 2017 Cape Fear Kick Down will benefit the Wilmington Prostate Cancer Support Group and a project of Veteran Owned, Veteran Grown.

On Friday, September 15th there will be a kick-off party starting at 7 p.m. at Satellite Bar & Lounge. Then South 2nd Street will be closed from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, September 16th, to display motorcycles of a variety of genres, including cafe racers, trackers, scramblers, choppers, bobbers, classics, and more. The entry fee is $20 and includes a gift pack with event t-shirt. Show appropriate bikes are encouraged to park on the street even if they don't enter the show. Showcased builders include Moto Motivo, and there will be an assortment of motorcycle-related vendors, as well as those selling leather and vintage goods. Block Taco, along with a food truck, will be serving food all day, and there will be live outdoor music and a charity raffle. There will also be an after-party at 7 p.m. on Saturday. There is no fee for spectators or for non-registered bikes.

The Cape Fear Kick Down is focused on building relationships and connections among people to build a supportive motorcycle community in eastern NC. We welcome people who are interested in motorcycles to come and learn more about owning and riding vintage bikes. The show is as much about the people as the bikes. Best in show will be featured on BikeBound.com, the largest “new wave” custom motorcycle blog based in the United States.

Sponsors and vendors of the event include: Brick + Mortar Coffee & Goods, Devolve Moto, Performance Cycles, Live Wire Powder Coating, Riders on the Norm, Gory Greg, Behind Bars Apparel, Twist 1 Apparel, Siggy Parker's Vintage, Whistlepig Workshop, Southeastern Customs, Gentleman 440 Supply, Atomic Vintage, Rare Air Werx, Municipal Bag, Rusted Iron, South Front Apartments, and The Artworks.
